Soccer Teams With the Fewest Sponsor Names on Their Shirts
Some football clubs have kept the same sponsor for decades while others change sponsors often.
Many soccer teams around the world have sponsor names on their uniforms. These sponsors are companies that pay teams money to advertise their products. Most teams change sponsors every few years when they get better deals. However, some teams have been very loyal to their sponsors for decades.
The team with the longest single sponsorship might be Rangers de Talca from Chile. They have had the same sponsor, Productos Fernández, since 1977. Their deal runs until 2031, which would be over 50 years with one company. This shows incredible loyalty between a team and their business partner.
Japanese soccer teams are known for keeping sponsors for long periods. Teams like Kawasaki Frontale and Sanfrecce Hiroshima have had the same sponsors for over 30 years. This helps create strong relationships between the teams and the companies that support them. It also means fans get used to seeing the same logo on their team's shirts year after year.
Some teams choose not to have sponsors at all. FC United of Manchester has never put any company name on their shirts. They believe soccer should not be controlled by big businesses. This makes their plain shirts very different from most other professional teams around the world.
One sponsor, 35 years, also still ongoing.
