Trump Media Launches MAGA-Friendly Investment Funds

September 8, 2026 · The Boston Globe

The company behind Truth Social is now selling stock funds aimed at investors who support Trump's "America First" views.

Trump Media & Technology Group, the company that runs President Trump's Truth Social platform, has launched a set of new investment funds. These funds are designed for people who agree with Trump's political views. The funds are called exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, and they let investors buy shares in a group of companies all at once. Trump is the largest shareholder in Trump Media, meaning he owns more stock in the company than anyone else.

The new funds have patriotic-sounding names like Truth Social American Icons, Truth Social American Security & Defense, and Truth Social American Energy Security. They own shares in well-known companies such as Home Depot, Walmart, Exxon Mobil, Lockheed Martin, and Uber. The funds are managed by a New Jersey investment firm called Yorkville America, which has close ties to Trump Media. Trump Media is not picking the stocks itself — it is simply licensing, or renting out, the Truth Social name to Yorkville for an undisclosed amount of money.

Steve Neamtz, the CEO of Yorkville, said the funds focus on companies in sectors that are important to the U.S. economy, like energy and national security. He said the funds avoid companies that seem to put social causes ahead of profits. 'We don't want activism,' Neamtz said. Even so, all five of the new funds have a clear 'America First' feel to their names and goals. Neamtz said he tries to be 'as apolitical as possible' and sees himself as an investment strategist, not a politician.

Yorkville also took over two older ETFs and rebranded them as Truth Social funds. One is called Truth Social America First, and it trades on the stock market under the symbol 'MAGA.' The other is called Truth Social God Bless America, and it trades under the symbol 'YALL.' One of those funds was originally created in 2022 by a money manager named Adam Curran, who said he joined up with Truth Social because the two shared a similar vision and he wanted help attracting more investors.

ETFs have been around for decades and are a popular way to invest without having to choose individual stocks on your own. The overall ETF market is enormous, holding about $24 trillion in assets. It is led by giant firms like BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street. By comparison, all seven Truth Social funds together hold only about $150 million in assets, which is a very small slice of the market.

Most of that $150 million comes from the two older funds that were rebranded. The five brand-new Truth Social funds each hold less than $10 million and trade only a few thousand shares per day. Experts say that is a sign that demand is still quite low. The funds will also face competition from other conservative-leaning ETFs, including those from Strive Asset Management, a $3 billion firm co-founded by Republican politician Vivek Ramaswamy.

Some market analysts say it will be hard for the Truth Social funds to attract a large number of buyers. Todd Rosenbluth, a longtime ETF analyst, said most investors do not choose funds based on their political beliefs. Instead, they look for funds with a strong history of making money. 'It's a challenge to break through when your difference is connected to politics,' he said.

Looking at past performance, the America First fund earned an average return of about 14.8 percent per year over the last three years. Curran's God Bless America fund did a bit better, with an average return of 19.7 percent per year. However, the S&P 500 — a broad measure of the overall stock market — earned more than 20 percent per year over that same period. Matthew Tuttle, an ETF expert helping Yorkville, said it should become clear within a year whether there is enough investor interest to make the funds a success.
