Patriots' Kayshon Boutte Trade Looks Even Worse After A.J. Brown's Injury

Boutte had a strong 2025 season with the Patriots. He caught 33 passes for 551 yards and scored six touchdowns. That works out to an average of 16.7 yards every time he caught the ball, which is very impressive. For a player who was only a sixth-round pick in the NFL Draft, he had become one of the team's most exciting and dangerous pass-catchers.

The Patriots felt comfortable trading Boutte because they had just added A.J. Brown and another receiver named Romeo Doubs.
