Olivia Rodrigo headlined the first-ever Daisy Chain Fields music festival on Saturday at Great Park in Irvine, California. The all-day event had 14 sets, 10 nonprofit partners, and raised $10 million for causes supporting women and girls. Tickets sold out in just 30 minutes, and surprise guests included legends like Stevie Nicks and Alanis Morissette. Rodrigo told the cheering crowd, 'I feel like I'm dreaming. The festival was inspired by Lilith Fair, a 1990s event that celebrated women in music. Like that earlier festival, Daisy Chain Fields was about community and action, not just songs. Nonprofits set up booths where fans could learn about important causes while making flower crowns and daisy chains. Many attendees said they came both for the music and to support a better future for women and girls.

Rodrigo announced the $10 million donation the day before the festival at a press conference. Ten nonprofits shared the funds, covering issues from maternal health to reproductive rights to supporting domestic workers. Philanthropist Melinda French Gates attended the show and pledged to match the donation, doubling the total to $20 million. It was a powerful reminder that music festivals can do a lot of good in the world.

The music kicked off with Quiet Light, the stage name of singer and medical student Riya Mahesh, who performed with graceful, ballet-inspired dance moves. Eli Miller followed with upbeat songs and a message about kindness and loving your neighbors. British singer Rachel Chinouriri joked about the California heat before tearing through her latest single and previewing songs from her upcoming album. Devon Again jumped in at the last minute after another act had to cancel, winning over fans with her country-tinged hits.
