League games matter a lot this time of year because teams are fighting for spots in the playoffs. A win now can mean the difference between going home or playing on. Every team wants to finish the regular season strong.

Thursday's schedule is one of the busiest nights of the week. In the Arroyo League, La Canada takes on Monrovia, and Muir heads to Burbank. The 8-Man football schedule also has games this week in both the City Section and Southern Section. These games use eight players per side instead of the usual eleven. They are common at smaller schools that may not have enough players for a full roster. The Agape League, Express League, and Tri-Valley League all have 8-Man games on the schedule this week.

Saturday wraps up the week with a smaller set of games.
