Crowds of people then went into the streets and caused damage. They burned cars and houses in Belfast. They also blocked roads and scared many families. People from different countries had to leave their homes because they were afraid.
Two women from Uganda who work as care helpers had to escape from their house. A church pastor helped them get away from an angry crowd.
