US Lists Big Chinese Companies as Military Helpers
Pentagon adds Alibaba, BYD, and other major tech firms to list of companies helping China's army.
The United States government has made a big decision about Chinese companies. The Pentagon, which runs America's military, says some Chinese businesses are helping China's army. They put these companies on a special list that could cause problems between the two countries.
The list includes very famous companies that many people know. Alibaba runs websites where people buy things online, like Amazon in America. BYD makes electric cars that do not use gasoline. The US government thinks these companies are making China's military stronger.
The Pentagon shared this list on Monday after working on it for months. It replaces an old list from earlier in 2025. This happened just weeks after President Trump visited China and talked with Chinese leader Xi Jinping about trade and business.
Many other Chinese technology companies are also on the list now. Some make computer chips that go inside phones and computers. Others create robots that can walk and think using artificial intelligence. The US is worried these technologies could help China in a future war.
These Chinese companies are working with the Chinese military against our national interests.
