Amazon's October Prime Day: Big Discounts on Top Tech Gear

Amazon's October Prime Day sale — officially called Prime Big Deal Days — is running now through October 7, and it is packed with major discounts on popular tech products. The sale is only available to Amazon Prime members. Deals include savings on earbuds, headphones, smartwatches, security cameras, speakers, and TVs. Some of the biggest discounts include 20% off Apple AirPods 3 and 50% off the Google Pixel Watch 3.

Shopping editors reviewed thousands of deals to find the ones that are truly worth buying. To make the cut, a product had to be rated at least four stars on Amazon, be discounted at least 20%, and be at its lowest price in at least three months. A price-tracking website called CamelCamelCamel was used to check each deal's history. That means shoppers can feel confident they are getting a real bargain.

Apple's AirPods Pro 2 are among the top earbuds on sale. They come with five different ear-tip sizes to help people find a comfortable fit that lasts for hours. The earbuds have excellent noise cancellation, a transparency mode, and sharp call quality. A simple swipe along the stem controls the volume, so your phone can stay in your pocket.

For travelers, Bose makes popular over-ear headphones that fold into a hard-shell case. They are light enough for a long flight and block out engine noise and loud passengers. A wired cable is included so you can plug into an airplane seatback screen. Sony also has wireless headphones on sale that weigh very little and last up to 35 hours per charge.

Smartwatches are another big part of this sale, with the Google Pixel Watch 3 at 50% off. It tracks runs in real time, monitors your heart rate, and scores your daily readiness based on sleep and activity. The watch can even detect if your heart stops and automatically call for emergency help. For outdoor lovers, a rugged smartwatch handles extreme heat, cold, surfing, and freediving with a battery lasting nearly a month.
